Listening to Metro this morning – there were only men presenting by the way – they were chatting about Multi tasking. Why women can and men can’t. Aren’t their brains smaller than ours? Not? Okay then.
Apparently we also use more words per day than the average man. About 4-6 THOUSAND more. Seriously? Is there research substantiating this? If there is, who did ”they” base this research on – the gossipmongers in the community who have nothing else to do every day? Or the ones who frequent the funeral houses – who rock up at 6 am and leave at 10 pm at night, hanging around to see who comes and goes, discussing everything from what you’re wearing to whom you’re sleeping with. In that case, it could just be.
Also, why the need to dissect how much we blab every day? Talk about useless bits of information. Spend your money on real research, man, like why our politicians are so corrupt.
But I certainly don’t use that much words every day. They are in fact saying that we yap too much. I take exception to this.
But I do know some men who use about that many words (between 4 to 8000 a day). I’m looking at some right now….
