… a little bit of this, that and a lot more

The X-Factor

And no…I’m not selling a product or punting anyone else’s products for that matter….I’m curious…

Is it possible that some people just have that something that turns heads? That makes you sit up and take notice? Is it possible for one to be so charismatic that others are just drawn to them? Is it necessarily just the physical or is there more to it – i.e. the way you talk, how you talk, the way you walk, the way you laugh, the way you connect with someone, wit, sarcasm?

I’ve seen some ugly facially challenged people attract others like bees to honey. What makes them so special? Does this mean they have the X-factor? Can we bottle it in any way? Just think how rich we can become….

I’m not speaking just male / female attraction. We are attracted to people of the same sex just as we are to the opposite. This is what makes us friends or makes us become lovers. Not everyone has that X-factor. Not everyone actually has a personality to speak of (ag shame to us). Are these the people who have to pay special attention to their exterior just so they are noticed? Do you have to have a personality to be noticed? Do you want to be noticed?

When you meet someone for the first time it’s all the exterior. After a few minutes (if you have that opportunity) you glimpse more of them than what literally meets the eye. Is this where the attraction starts? What is it in their countenance that’s like a beacon, calling you to them? Is this the X-factor? Does this mean everyone has it?

Is everyone’s X-factor the same? Do you have it? If you don’t, do you want it? Can it be cultivated – like a talent? Do you have to be special to have the X-factor? Do these X-factor people inspire you in any way?

Ok, I’ll stop now coz I’m starting to sound incoherent (Dizzyingly so)…..here’s another opinion I found on the net…not much (lots of hits on the TV Reality series, who’s interested in THAT?), but here goes….

The “X-factor” quality

26/02/2007 In Life by feistyfemale

This is the person that has a quality in their personality that most other humans envy and try and live up to. A rare quality that enables you to shine and stand out among other people. A quality that simply is so special that there aren’t quite the right words to describe it.

These are the people that you encounter in life that truly make a difference and even encourage and motivate you to reach new heights and inspire you to reach your goals. These are the people who change lives wherever they go without consciously realizing that they have touched someone’s life.

In essence these people have certain traits that are obvious to others, they are compassionate, they care about other people, they care about society, and yes they are positive people with an optimistic outlook on life. These people have something within them so rare that they light up a room with their mere presence.

The thing about X-factor people is this: other people want to be just like them. Why do other people want to be like these people – simply because the X-factor person makes people around them feel like they too have the ability to be that individual with that quality. People love them because they are happy, content and fun to be with.

Mark Twain once said: “Really great people make you feel like you too, can become great!” Perhaps this is what truly defines a “X-Factor” person.

What do YOU think?

Interesting read. I truly believe that only certain people have the x-factor. While I wouldn’t be able to say what it is specifically, these people just seem to have this energy that attracts people and success their way. I don’t think one can acquire the x-factor, I think its something innate.
